Awaken was much more than a fashion show.
It was a multi-disciplinary production, featuring multiple performing groups, designers and artists from the Monterey bay, and the first dedicated collaboration between Hanif Wondir and Domini Anne - working together build a unique soundtrack to support a powerful political statement about unity and the power of collective hope.
Hosted by Greg Hawthorne, and produced in conjunction with Sand City’s West End Celebration, the sold out show included more than 50 artists and performers and was an editor’s pick for the Monterey County Weekly’s “Best Of” edition for that year.
