2nd Skin - 2008 Exhibit at the SF Exploratorium

After years of creative collaboration, our collective of eco-friendly Bay Area fashion designers were included in an exhibit at the San Franciso Exploratorium featuring innovative approaches to fashion.

Bad Unkl Sista, Miss Velvet Cream and Domini Anne were all given individual spotlights, and Domini Anne chose to create four traditional ballet costumes, created entirely out of trash.

Featured Characters : Coppelia, Odette, Rothbart and the Firebird

Materials Used included : Inner Tube Rubber, Venetian Blinds, plastic 6 pack connectors, bubble wrap and used plastic bags from takeout food.

This was a milestone for our collective of independent artists - finally recognized by the city that birthed so much of what “Upcycled Fashion” has become today.
